Have you ever wondered who the various types of Instagram bloggers are? Who are they, how do they differ from each other, and what makes them tick? In this article, we’ll give you an overview of 5 different kinds of Instagram bloggers and explain why their Instagram style sets them apart from the rest of the pack. Read on to find out what kind of Instagram blogger you are!
1. Personality bloggers
There are two general categories of bloggers: those who write about their lives and share personal photos, and those who share unique perspectives on cultural trends.
Personality bloggers build loyal followings by creating a real connection with readers; for example, bloggers often create community by posting about meet-ups and inviting followers to join them in person.
Sometimes personality blogging is an extension of a celebrity or public figure’s own social media presence; other times it’s just fun for people who enjoy being photographed (or photographed well).
Regardless, you don’t need advanced photography skills to be a personality blogger your job is simply to showcase yourself or someone else.
2) Personal development bloggers
It’s one thing to read advice from someone who has experienced success — it’s another thing entirely when that person can tell you how they did it. These types of bloggers will inspire you through their stories and examples. If personal development is your jam, then following a few motivational influencers is sure to bring some inspiration into your life.
A great example of a personal development blogger is Lewis Howes. He even has a podcast called School of Greatness, where he interviews today’s top performers in the business, sports, entertainment, and other domains.
3) DIY bloggers
The DIY blogger is, as you might have guessed, someone who blogs about do-it-yourself projects and hacks. What makes them different from other bloggers is that they usually write their own posts or create DIY videos on YouTube.
These bloggers are a great fit for companies with home decor products because these companies will be able to give them creative material. Also, there are often links back to these bloggers’ stores or online shops where they can promote a company’s product using an affiliate link.
4) Social media marketing bloggers
Social media marketing and social media management are two different things. The latter entails developing a comprehensive online presence, which includes utilizing multiple social platforms, interacting with your audience, and encouraging brand awareness.
A social media marketer may handle all of these tasks on their own or outsource them to specialists. If you’re looking for a blogger who specializes in social media marketing, look for one who has experience managing several accounts across different networks, uses great images that fit your brand’s visual identity, and has built a loyal following through content creation.
Also, make sure they have some knowledge in project management or marketing strategy — or both! (via Social Media Today)
5) Daily tips bloggers
As their name suggests, these bloggers update their readers with new posts on a daily basis. Depending on your niche, they can be an excellent source of information and inspiration. Think about which category would fit your own personal style.
If you’re not sure where to start, you can always follow someone who falls into one of these categories or has similar values or interests as you and then take notes on why it works for them (or doesn’t).
Just be careful: There’s no set way to write an everyday tips blogger, so they are easy to imitate but hard to perfect.
